THANKS FOR STRUTTING

Thanks to everyone who made the 2008 Strut a success - volunteers, sponsors and attendees alike! The winners of the 5K race have been posted - check back for photos, a final total of money raised, and details of this year's beneficiaries. Thanks for strutting your stuff - we look forward to seeing you again next year!

BRING CASH TO AVOID DISAPPPOINTMENT!

We have learned today that SunTrust were unable to secure extra funds for their ATM - this means the ATM will almost certainly run out of cash during the day tomorrow! Make sure that you bring cash with you for all your festival purchases to avoid any inconvenience!

Please note that the location of the 5K start has moved slightly - it will now be in Brownwood Park on the corner of Brownwood and Portland.

CATCH THE STRUT ON THE CBS EARLY SHOW!

Don't miss the East Atlanta Strut on the CBS Early Show between 5:30 and 7:00 am this Friday! We'll be on location in EAV (Earthshaking Music's parking lot) all morning with Sarah Parker - come down and join in the fun!

DOGS AND THE STRUT

A reminder to leave your furry friends at home on the day of the Strut - because the festival has grown over the last couple of years, regulations no longer permit dogs at the festival. However, pets may take part in the parade as long as they're on a leash!

STILL TIME TO APPLY FOR THE ARTISTS' MARKET!

If you've been thinking about signing up for a booth in the artists' market but haven't got around to it yet, there's still time! The deadline for applications is August 15 and there won't, as previously stated, be a late fee for applications received between now and then. So what are you waiting for? Just a reminder that it's not too late to apply for Strut funding. If you are a member of a nonprofit organization that serves the greater East Atlanta community and that would benefit from Strut funds, fill out our grant application today! Applications are due on or before August 30 - either to the mailing address on the form or to grants@eastatlantastrut.com. Good luck!
